Obituary: Jacqueline "Jackie" Gaye Dallman

Jacqueline Gaye “Jackie” Dallman, 65, lifetime Kittitas County resident, passed away on January 17, 2019 surrounded by her loving family and friends. A celebration of Jackie’s life will take place at Putnam Centennial Center, 719 East Third Street, Cle Elum on Sunday, February 10th from 1-3 pm for family and friends to gather in remembrance.

Jackie was born on August 14, 1953 in Ellensburg, Washington to Marion & Ruth (Hanson) Powell. She grew up in South Cle Elum and attended schools in the Upper County, graduating from Easton High School in 1971. She and Gordon Dallman began courting in 1973 and were married on April 19, 1974.

Jackie worked for over 30 years for the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District both as a school bus driver as well as in the school kitchen. She retired from the school district in August 2018.

She was talented in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking and making lattes for her guests. For over 20 years, she looked forward to the first family camping trip of the year at Fish lake, where she and Gordon were the hub and family and friends would join. She also liked to fish, hunt for mushrooms, play games and spend time with family. She loved to play her luck at casino penny slots and scratch tickets.

Jackie could best be described as a fun-loving, caring, good-hearted woman with steadfast morals who offered unconditional love to her family and friends. She was known and loved by many. She brought family together with an open door and open arms. She will be missed dearly by all who were touched by her love and kindness.

Jackie leaves behind her husband, Gordon, of Ellensburg; children Stacy (Shawn) McLaughlin of Ellensburg, Adele Dallman of Richland and Marion “Buzzy” (Amanda) Dallman of Snoqualmie Pass; grandchildren Allie, Shane and Isaac. As well as siblings Violet, Raymond, Chris, Tim, and Wendy. She was preceded in death by brother Rusty and her parents Marion and Ruth.

Memorial contributions in Jackie’s honor are suggested to Hospice Friends, 302 S. Main Street in Ellensburg. Steward & Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Ellensburg is caring for Jackie’s family. Online condolences may be left at www.steward-williams.com
